Join us in honoring St. Joseph the Worker with a day of volunteering at the St. Joseph Retreat & Conference Center. Following 9 am mass with Fr. David Huemmer, guests may help with indoor or outdoor tasks like picking up sticks, weeding, spreading mulch outdoors. Indoor tasks like light cleaning, organizing and office work is available as well. After lunch, guests will complete a second volunteer session. The day will end with Afternoon Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours. Volunteers may bring rakes, shovels, gloves and a water bottle. Experience the wonder of silence and scripture on our beautiful campus. This Ignatian-guided silent retreat begins with conferences on prayer. Over the course of the weekend, guests will make seven holy hours with different scriptures taken from the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Mass, optional Liturgy of the Hours with catechesis, optional spiritual direction, optional reconciliation, and plenty of quiet time for reflection and prayer is built into the weekend.  Led by Fr. A twist on our monthly Get Away for a Day, the Silent Day Away is a great introduction to a Silent Retreat. Come to our campus for a self-guided day of silence. This unstructured retreat will allow you to fill your day with spiritual exercises that draw you closer to God.
