As part of our PTO, I wanted to wish you a huge welcome back as well as an amazing year here at St. Maria Goretti! Our new board members and I are excited to get this new school year underway and look forward to working alongside you as we support our teachers, students and families of SMG.
A little about myself. My husband Nick and I have 4 children. 3 of which are here at SMG, two in middle school and one in elementary school. Our family went through the OCIA process beginning in 2021 and were welcomed into the Church at the Easter Vigil in 2022. We are passionate about all things SMG. That ministry was a blessing to us and we have been volunteering our time in different ways ever since! This will be my third year on our PTO board and I am equally as excited to take on the role of President as when I started years ago. The board of ladies this year are excited to plan, help and support our school, along with your help in many ways. Our monthly meetings are held on one Thursday a month at 8am. We meet in the Parish Narthex and anyone is welcome to attend. We have many exciting things planned for the year but those cannot happen without the help our incredible families provide. The opportunities to serve in this upcoming school year are endless. From volunteering at various events like Fun Run, Fall Fest, classroom parties, donating items needed for special events, signing up for the Elijah Cup as a family, coaching in our Sports Ministry and even completing an hour of adoration each week. By committing our time and talents to our school we are creating an even stronger community for our students, staff and families.
